Chocolate Gift Basket

Chocolate, how I love you, let me recount the ways you have pleased my palette, and allowed my olfactory senses to raise to new levels of awareness. But which chocolate is my favorite? I love so many; it is hard to choose between them all. It might be the chocolate chips straight out of the bag or the chocolate fudge that keeps me coming back for more (cutting that one last sliver off the original block).

Perhaps it is the Junior Mints that I must have when I am sitting in the theater waiting for the previews to end and they have melted into unsightly chocolate clumps. I don't mind, so I just toss them in my mouth and let them melt apart. It could be the peanut butter balls that I received as a gift from Brenda. She took such care in making them. She wrapped them carefully in wax paper and even placed them in a decorative holiday tin. But alas, there were only six pieces, and I just could not stop myself. I ate them in just one sitting.

Well I did try to share, but the chocolate monster in me just took over. Alas, I believe that my favorite chocolate of all is the chocolate Egg that is available at Easter. I like to bite off the top of the egg and lick out the filling until my tongue can't fit any further into the egg without my nose getting a chocolate mustache. But, if I can't have a piece of chocolate, then I will settle for my chocolate scented candles from Partylite or perhaps a mocha cappuccino from the infamous Starbucks. Yes, I have got to have my chocolate fix no matter the cost.
